The house is stylishly furnished with good antiques, lovely paintings and soft furnishings.

The bedrooms have comfortable beds and pillows, white linen, and TV, hair dryers, tea and coffee trays, with dressing gowns available. Bathrooms are modern, with good water pressure for all showers. Views from the bedrooms are delightful, and guests continually comment on the sheer peace and quiet, the tranquility and beautiful location that we enjoy.

Martyn and Susie are excellent hosts and give you a very warm welcome from the moment you arrive - making you feel at ease, and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts, served in the garden room, are considered a real treat, with juices, cereals, fresh fruit platters, full English Breakfast, toast with homemade jams and marmalades.

Dining 'in' is possible by prior arrangement, or there are several very good pubs/restaurants within easy driving distance. Martyn offers a very good advisory service for what to do during the day, and his Lee's Tours are very popular.

Days out include visiting National Trust houses and gardens, other good private gardens, walks on the Jurassic Coastal headlands, Lyme Regis, Bridport, Portland and Weymouth, Corfe Castle and Studland, or market towns of Dorchester, Sherborne, Beaminster and Crewkerne. This is Thomas Hardy country, and you may visit his house near Dorchester.

The garden room also has a sitting room area with log fire and TV for more relaxation.

Safe parking, and dogs welcome if they stay the night in the car, parked in the open barn/garage.
