Davina and Michael Brimacombe, at Ashdown House, offer quality bed & breakfast facilities for discerning visitors who are staying in the Ashdown Forest area for either business or leisure reasons.

We are located at the end of a private drive, on the very edge of the village of Maresfield, with all three of our rooms - one double, one twin and one single - overlooking fields and woodland, you will find peace and tranquillity here.

Our rooms are decorated to a high standard and we offer a delicious full Sussex breakfast to all, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. A vegetarian option is always available.

We pride ourselves on giving the level of hospitality you would expect in an establishment rated 4 diamonds by the English Tourist Board.

We also offer free wireless broadband access to all visitors plus fax and printer facilities if needed.

Our room rates are very competitive - substantially lower than most local pubs and hotels - and we offer special rates for 2 or 3 night weekend breaks from October to March.

Ashdown House is ideally located for many local attractions including Glyndebourne, Bluebell Railway, Hartfield (Winnie the Pooh), and a number of major national Trust properties such as Sheffield Park, Wakehurst Place, Standen and Chartwell. Also within easy driving distance are the towns of Tunbridge Wells, Brighton, Lewes and Eastbourne. Well worth visiting, not only for shopping but to see the elegant and often unique architecture of so many of the buildings.

We are also very close to a number of major wedding venues. Buxted Park Hotel, Barnsgate Manor Vineyard, Newick Park Hotel, Horsted Place Hotel and Ravenswood are all within easy driving distance. We are usually able to accommodate guests who want to arrive quite early in the day so they can change for the ceremony or drop off belongings before going on to the celebrations.
