Limburn House

Maldon is a waterside historic town. Our accommodation lies 1 mile from the High
street which is the start of the historic journey. The Hythe Quay is the home to the working London Barges and a very interesting stroll along the quay is recommended. The standard of the local pubs and restaurants his highly acclaimed.

The area is surrounded by excellent Golfing facilities along with good fishing and bird watching areas. There are miles of unspoilt sea walled walks for the active type of just a short stroll along the promenade is invigorating enough for some. The National Trust areas in the surrounding villages offer good days out along with RHS gardens near by too.

Our accommodation suits all types of ages. The rooms are serviced daily and our standards are high. The quality of our accommodation is reflected in our 4**** rating that we achieved in April 2008 from Visit Britain .

Our accommodation is on a regular bus service to go out of Maldon to either Chelmsford or Colchester, Chelmsford has a fast route train service to Liverpool Street in 45 minutes where you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of the Capital.

There is also a Park and Ride near by if you wish to drive into Chelmsford and explore the town or even visit the Essex County Cricket grounds. Chelmsford is an up and coming place again with lots of surrounding places and things to do. Colchester offers another historic journey either by car or bus.

This is a little bit further but worth a visit and also hosts a zoo for the younger family members. We do not accept pets... We are not licensed but guests do have the use of a communal fridge if they like to bring in with them some wine or beer to enjoy of an evening sitting on the patio watching the horses frolic in the field.

We do not serve evening food but can recommend pubs and restaurant near by.
