Trinity Townhouse
Welcome to Trinity Townhouse. We are a new bed and breakfast in Trinity Street in the centre of Colchester. Everything is close to hand; shops, restaurants, bars, the cinema, theatres and good transport links.
We are situated just off the High Street in Trinity Square opposite the library and Holy Trinity Church. Both Lion Walk and Culver Square shopping centres are on our doorstep. Colchester Castle, museums and art centres are all within a few minutes walk as is Castle Park and the Leisure Centre. We are even on The Colchester Tourist Trail because of a celebrated previous resident.
Buses run from the High Street or the Bus Station with frequent connections to London from the Train Station. Coaches to Stansted run every hour and Essex University is on a nearby bus route. The junction to the A12 is close by with Harwich a 25 minute drive away. Taxis are available from the rank in the High Street.
A warm welcome on arrival starts with a home made cake and a cup of tea or coffee. For longer stays, tea, coffee and cake or biscuits will be left out every day in the dining room for you to help yourself.
Step back in time and stay in a Grade II listed period Tudor house. Home to Lady Mary Cornwallis in the 16th century and her muse, John Wilbye, the famous madrigal composer of the time. Now brought up to date with comfortable bedrooms and designer bathrooms. Both bedrooms include flat screen digital televisions, DVD players and a working area. Wi-Fi connection is available. The rooms can be either single or double occupancy.
We offer comfortable and affordable accommodation with a warm welcome for the tourist and business traveller alike. The price includes a cooked full English breakfast with all the trimmings or a healthy option, served in the beamed Tudor dining room or on sunnier days outside in the walled courtyard if preferred.
