We are a family business run from home. Situated in the quaint village of Alvington in the Forest of Dean. Our comfortable rooms are great value for money with full English breakfast included.
We have a very large ground floor room, an annex to our house, where we provide bed and breakfast accommodation. The room is 5m by 5m, with a kingsized bed, tea and coffee facilities, fridge and microwave. The downstairs en-suite has a power shower.
A full grilled English breakfast including fried eggs, grilled bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans with home made jam and toast is served in our dining room. We can also cater for vegetarians and lactose intollerance.
Our younger visitors are fascinated to watch our friendly pet goats and sheep whilst enjoying their breakfast.
We were featured in the BBC accommodation documentary 'B and B my guest' and were awarded a 3 star rating.
Alvington is on the edge of the Forest, and half a mile from the banks of the River Severn. Just down the road from historic town Chepstow, with its racecourse, golf resort, exciting nightlife and famous castle at the foot of the Wye Valley. The nearest town into Gloucestershire is Lydney, merely 3 miles away. With its historic docks and busy town centre. Bristol, with its gigantic shopping mall, beautiful culture and fantastic music scene is a 35-minute run across the Severn Bridge. This is also a handy place to stay if you wish to visit the Cotswolds, the Cheltenham Gold Cup or the Millennium Stadium at Cardiff
We are located 6 miles from Chepstow, 3 miles from Lydney. Situated in the quaint village of Alvington behind the Blacksmiths Arms pub on the main A48.
Annex accommodation is £30 per person per night. single occupency is £40.
