A warm welcome awaits you at Upper House Barn bed and breakfast in Eardisley, Kington, North Herefordshire. Fifteen miles from both Hereford and Leominster and four miles from Kington, Upper House Barn lies in Eardisley on the world famous Black and White Villages trail.

This magnificent Grade 2 listed barn conversion with its wealth of exposed beams offers character accommodation in Herefordshire. You will find spotlessly clean and comfortable en-suite rooms with lovely antique furniture, tea and coffee making facilities and colour TV in this beautiful B&B near Kington.

We offer a double and a twin room in this historic home, the double having views of Hay Bluff, Hay-on-Wye being only 10 miles away making us the perfect bed and breakfast for the Hay Festival.

Upper House Barn B&B accommodation is well suited for exploring the countryside. For those who enjoy visiting churches, castles, and other historic sites; North Herefordshire, Shropshire and the Welsh Marches are full of interesting places to see. There are many beautiful gardens as well as National Trust, English Heritage and Cadw properties.

Upper House Barn Accommodation

The Mahogany Room

This spacious room with superb exposed beams and beautiful views across the valley to Hay Bluff. There is a mahogany half-tester bed, a family heirloom that was rescued from an aunt's barn and was lovingly restored by Steve. Years later Steve's mother gave him a marble topped washstand and to our delight told us it had originally been with the bed, it was good to get them back together again!

There are tea making facilities, a remote controlled colour TV and two very comfortable chairs from which to enjoy both. A top quality mattress for the best nights sleep and a small dressing room and en-suite bathroom (both with exposed beams), for your privacy.

The Oak Room

A spacious bedroom and en-suite bathroom with superb exposed beams. There are lovely views across the garden and open farmland. Twin, top quality beds for that 'good nights sleep', remote controlled colour TV, tea making facilities and two very comfortable chairs from which to enjoy them. The oak coffer dates from around the same period as the barn.

Breakfast at Upper House Barn

Breakfast is taken in the charming dining room, overlooking the garden and patio. Fresh produce is all sourced within 4 miles and is locally produced and organic wherever possible. We are fortunate to have September Organic Dairy who supply organic milk and yogurt two miles to the north and Oakchurch Farm Shop who produce their own organic sausages, bacon, and eggs four miles to the south.

We also offer vegetarian options.
