The Old Coach House
Caroline wishes to welcome new guests old friends from Lion House and Avanti too, her new home in Tenterden. The Old Coach House is situated in a quiet lane just off the High Street. It was converted and modernised in 2002 with wooden floors throughout the house and beamed ceilings.
There are three bedrooms : one twin/double with en suite bath and separate shower with an en suite small TV room. One double room with en suite bath and separate shower and en suite single room. The third bedroom has a double bed and an en suite shower room.
Guests are very welcome to use the cosy sitting room and Caroline is happy for people to use the kitchen for snacks or suppers. Good food is a priority at The Coach House and free range and local produce is used whenever available. Full English breakfast is included in the price and served in the dining hall from 8am.
All rooms have TV/DVD . and Tea/Coffee making facilities.
Tenterden has many restaurants, and cafés which are all in easy walking distance of The Coach House and offer food of many different nationalities: English, Italian , Chinese , Turkish, Indian and some very good Fish and Chips shops. Along the tree lined High Street are many fascinating antique, charity and craft shops where you can browse for hours, or treat yourself to new outfit in one of the many well known clothes shops.
There are many National Trust and English Heritage properties in easy reach of Tenterden. Canterbury with its beautiful cathedral is 45 minutes away and the lovely old town of Rye and it's history of smuggling is a 'Must'. Next to Rye along the coast is the very popular beach of Camber sands or you can be a little more adventurous and visit Brighton and it's Royal Pavilion.
