Chapel Lodge

Chapel Lodge is a unique and quirky guest accommodation with 4* awarded by enjoyengland and visitbritain.

The decor is unusual. Been described on a few occasions as 'Mal Maison style', which we took as a great compliment. Room 1 is black and white with soft furnishings, designed by myself. Room 2 is a little more daring with rich deep red and a deep burnt orange, also with soft furnishings designed by me.

They both have digital TV, free-view, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, and little extras to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They also both have their own fridge for your own items. The bathrooms are perfect, with black slate floor, white tiles and chrome accessories. The bedrooms both have their own heating so can be altered to suit you. The bathrooms have a large heated chrome towel rail.

A large selection of continental fayre is served in your room at your convenience. The times are between 7.30am and 10am. If you have any dietary needs, feel free to ask. We are more than happy to accommodate as much as we can. We do not serve lunch or dinner but we are able to recommend many good eating-places. Kirkby Lonsdale has a good reputation for excellent food. Also the known Highwayman is only a short drive away.

Local attractions are in abundance, Capenwray Diving Centre, Leighton Moss Wildlife Reserve. Bowness, Windermere, and other lakes are just a short drive away.

There are many restaurants, garden centres and cafes around and about. We also have a village pub a few minutes walk and a village store with almost anything you would need. Any special events can be catered for like birthdays or anniversaries. We can arrange flowers, chocolates, balloons, or champagne etc. Just ask when making a reservation.

We have a great BBQ area for the guests to use in the summer.

Over Kellet has been voted many times for The Best Kept Village award, as you will imagine when you drive through our beautiful village.
