Launceston Villa in Whitby is a lovely Edwardian home built at the turn of the last century by one of Whitby’s many sea captains. Now recently tastefully restored to offer modern stylish accommodation, yet retaining many period features, our small bed and breakfast is a perfect base to explore historic Whitby.

With ample private parking to the rear of our home and excellent four star accommodation you can be assured of a relaxing break in our beautiful home. All our rooms have their own private en-suite facilities, modern convenient accessories and comfortable furnishings.

We take breakfast seriously here at Launceston Villa and offer a varied choice and large breakfast to set you up for the day, using local produce and served with the best of Yorkshire hospitality. If a full English is too much, then we have our own healthy options the choice is entirely yours.

Launceston Villa is situated within easy walking distance to the town centre, about 8 to 10 minutes, where the main train and bus stops reside. Yet we are easy to find and access to the Moors and the other coastal towns is straight forward and rewarding.

We aim to make your visit to this wonderful part of the world memorable by extending the warmest of welcomes. Relax and unwind where the pace of life is so much slower and at Launceston Villa experience the personal service you only expect from a small concern.

We can offer our guests the choice of stylish double rooms or a lovely twin room. Each room is newly decorated, renovated and all with modern en-suite facilities. Gill has extensive experience of interior designing and this is reflected in the contemporary decor, yet each room has that personal touch which our guests appreciate. In addition house keeping is done daily to a very high standard as certified by the independent Enjoy England assessor. We only let three rooms to give that cosy and informal atmosphere of a small personal bed and breakfast.

Each room has its own :
• TV / DVD player, most are flat screen and we have a selection of DVD’s
• Hospitality tray including tea & coffee making facilities, and this is replenished daily
• Each en-suite has a power shower
• Towels provided
• Complimentary toiletries
• Hair dryer and heat mat for curling tongs.

Facilities.

We are keen walkers ourselves and have a selection of guides and maps for our guests use. We are more than happy to provide information and guidance on our favourite walks. If the weather is inclement we have drying facilities in our utility room for outdoor clothing if needed.

Car parking in Whitby can unfortunately be a problem, particularly at weekends and during the holidays. At Launceston Villa one does not get this hassle, we have easily accessed parking for all our guests. As we are close to town our guests can leave the car for their break, or use our home as a perfect base for exploring the wider area.
