Sandpiper Guest House
Centrally located this Victorian house is the ideal place to explore Whitby from.
We have lived here for 5 years and are providing high quality accommodation for our guests.
We appreciate you work hard and deserve a special place to visit and relax, that is what we do. Using local shops and butchers we provide special breakfasts in our modern breakfast room catering for your individual needs.
Our bedrooms offer more luxurious treats from specially selected teas and coffees to individually wrapped dark mint chocolates and luxury biscuits.
The bedrooms offer settees in which you can relax and watch TV or curl up and read your favourite book or magazine.
Our ensuites are light and modern allowing you to shower and dry in the seclusion of your bathroom without disturbing your partner. We supply warm white fluffy towels, shower gel, hand soap, hand and body lotions and more.
We are located in the heart of the town and are literally minutes walk from the historic cliff where the captain cook monument looks out over the harbour and piers. The shopping centre starts 20 yards down the street from us offering you small niche shops selling famous Whitby Jet and other products that you would not find elsewhere.
Whitby has many differing experiences from the beach to boat rides around the bay. There is also more on the outskirts, a 20 minute car ride takes you to Goathland aka Aidensfield in ITVs heartbeat. Not only is this small moor village famous for TV but film.
This setting was used by the Filmmakers of Harry Potter. Using the North Yorkshire moors railway the small railway station at Goathland was the setting for the Hogwarts station in The Philosophers Stone.
