Sherwood Glen Bed & Breakfast

Sherwood Glen is a beautiful Edwardian Guest House offering bed and breakfast accommodation, less than 3 miles from the seaside town of Whitby. The house is in the village of Sleights which is on the very edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.

There are 3 bedrooms each which their own private bathroom. The bedrooms have Laura Ashley linens, Lloyd Loom furniture and are equipped with Widescreen LCD TV, WiFi, hairdryer and hospitality tray.

The Lloyd Room has a super kingsize bed with a large en-suite shower room and views across the garden towards Battle Bank. Ashley offers a choice of twin beds or a super kingsize bed with an en-suite shower and bathroom and views across the garden towards Echo Hill. Beatrice is a cosy double with an ensuite shower room.

Sherwood Glen is perfectly located for walks from the house onto moorland and as a base for visiting the fishing port of Whitby with its cobbled streets and ancient ruined abbey, strolling in Goathland the home of Yorkshire TV's 'Heartbeat', beachcombing at Sandsend and Saltwick, “fossilling” at Robin Hoods Bay, taking a boat along the River Esk at Ruswarp, riding the North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Grosmont, walking the Cleveland Way, cycling along the disused Whitby to Scarborough railway track or simply exploring the rugged coast and beautiful moors countryside.

We have private parking for all of our guests at the top of our drive adjacent to the house. Sherwood Glen is a non-smoking guest house.
