Mark Brown & Jane along with their staff, offer a warm welcome to all at the Half Moon Restaurant and B&B in the beautiful quiet village of Sharow. Situated on the edge of the picturesque Yorkshire Dales National Park, 4 miles from Fountains Abbey, 1/2 mile from the market town of Ripon with its beautiful Cathedral, 1 mile from Yorkshire's Garden Racecourse and a 20 minute drive to Harrogate.

Now being run by Chef Owner Mark Brown. The small fresh menu is based on using only the best local ingredients, with fresh fish delivered daily!

There are three comfortable double bedded rooms, all with en-suite shower facilities. Each room has it’s own television and tea/coffee making facilities.
We also offer a private, floodlit, secure carpark.

Chef owner Mark Brown who previously worked for the Royal Air Force and as Private Dining Chef to the Hon Mr. and Mrs. Simon Howards family at the Stately Home, Castle Howard. During the same period also having the pleasure of cooking for Earl Spencer at Althorp, along with His Royal Highness Prince William. Finally realising his dream in 2009, he purchased the Half Moon, Sharow fast gaining the accolade of best restaurant in the area. For many of our discerning clientele booking is of course Highly Recommended.

Function Facilities at the Half Moon

There are two private function rooms suitable for birthday parties, christenings, anniversaries, wedding parties and Business lunches.

Our private dining room is suitable for seating 6 - 18 covers, and a further room seating 35 covers. We can cater for up to 50 covers buffet style.
