The Foss Bed & Breakfast

The Foss is an old Victorian town house situated in an old cobbled part of Richmond, which is charming and close to attractions. We are in a prime location, which is within walking distance to Richmond Castle, The Georgian Theatre, Museums, Shops, Cafes and river walks, and we are also on the Coast to Coast route.

Service is welcoming and friendly and rooms are tastefully decorated, with pure cotton bed linen on every bed. We have one double en suite and one twin with private bathroom; bathroom has a shower and a bath. Rooms have digital TV and coffee making facilities.

We offer a room only option at a reduced rate for those who do not wish to have breakfast, and if breakfast is required we have a choice of continental, full English or eggs any way you like them. We also offer a laundry service and a packed lunch for a small fee.

Richmond is a beautiful place with a quaint town centre and a varied range of shops for browsing around. For a small town there is a good choice of places to eat out ranging from small cafes to pubs and restaurants. Richmond has some lovely picturesque walks to offer alongside the River Swale, both short or long, and there is also a 2 screen cinema at the Station, which is an old railway station converted into a restaurant, cinema, ice cream parlour and locally sourced food shops.

There are many quaint villages and small towns to visit not too far from Richmond about 20 minutes drive, which are up in the dales, such as Reeth or Leyburn. We are about ten to fifteen minuets drive from the A1 and only four miles from Catterick Garrison. We aim to make your stay with us as pleasurable as possible and look forward to hearing from you.
