Garris House dates back to 1670, when it was a small farmhouse with an attached barn. The barn was later transformed into a separate cottage until the building was converted into a large single dwelling in the last century.

Hawkswick B&B provides a warm and welcoming bolt-hole in beautiful Littondale, some 10 minutes drive from both the picturesque town of Grassington and spectacular Pen-u-ghent, one of the 3 peaks. The larger market towns of Skipton and Settle are both within 30 minutes of the house. With rugged open moorland, hidden waterfalls, rolling countryside and easy strolls beside the river Skirfare, it's a rambler's paradise right from the doorstep, whatever your ability.

The private accommodation comprises external access to the ground floor sitting room with TV, stairs to the first floor double bedroom and large bathroom with power shower. There's use of the boot room for your outdoor kit and dogs can be accommodated in the pet pen just outside.

As well as a choice of breakfast menus included in the price, packed lunches are available and you also have the option to join us for dinner, but please let us know beforehand so we can cater for your stay.

For those that want to experience the culinary delights of the Dales you're spoilt for choice. Within 15 minutes drive is the family friendly Fountaine in Linton, the renowned Angel at Hetton, the Devonshire Fell and Red Lion in Burnsall, whilst the Brasserie at Bolton Abbey is worth the extra 10 minutes in the car. All come highly recommended.
