The Hermitage Inn

We are a rural pub restaurant providing good standard accommodation, we recently won best newcomers in the North East and came second in the country in our Brewery's annual award ceremony. Recent local press reviews on our food & service were very favourable indeed.

We provide a very comfortable outdoor heated smoking pagoda with added touches such as throws & cushions it has proved a very popular & friendly place to be.

There are 7 golf courses within easy reach, the area is excellent for walkers & fishing is available both river & sea.

The coastline is truly beautiful & the beaches in nearby Amble, Alnmouth & here in Warkworth are superb.

Alnwick castle is where Harry Potter was filmed & the adjoining Alnwick Gardens are very popular. There are many castles to visit -Warkworth, Dunstanburgh, Bamburgh & Alnwick. From nearby Alnmouth station you can catch a train into Newcastle city centre, (25 minutes) or Edinburgh, (1 hour)

In Warkworth itself we have a lot of galleries & good gift shops to visit & the river provides a haven for ducks & swans (we provide the bread!)

We provide a full bar menu, as well as an extensive al-carte menu. Our menu items are cooked fresh to order, with a good choice of fresh vegetables. We provide real homecooked chunky chips, homemade Yorkshire puddings and a good choice of specials.
