Kington B&B

Kington, a 3 Star ETC rated establishment and open all year, was originally built in 1840 as a stable and granary, but has now been converted into a comfortable family home. It is situated in a quiet rural location, just east of the village of Longhorsley, six miles north of the market town of Morpeth and approximately 10 miles south of Alnwick. With the A1 only a mile or so away, it is also ideally located for folks traveling to or from Scotland.

Our first floor accommodation provides guests with their own suite: a small sitting area with television and DVD player and tea and coffee making facilities, a double bedded room with its own television, a twin bedded room and a shower room. A comfortable sofa bed in the sitting area will provide extra bed space if required.

The accommodation at Kington is only let to one party at a time, thereby ensuring that guests always have private bathroom facilities and the sole use of the small sitting room.

A large courtyard at the front of the house provides ample and secure parking and there is also a lock-up garage available for motor bikes and cycles.

A cooked English, Continental or American breakfast is served in the dinning room downstairs. Most diets and any particular preferences can be catered for, providing we are given some advance notice.

Transport can often be arranged for guests attending functions at the Linden Hall Hotel and at other hotels in the area.

There are several pubs providing excellent food within a five mile radius of Kington, including The Shoulder of Mutton, a mile and a half away in the village of Longhorsley.

For golfers, Burgham Golf Club is less that half a mile away. From the double bedroom windows, you can almost see the fairway.

Being in the very heart of Northumberland, Kington is an ideal place from which to explore the North East and its beautiful coastline. There are several magnificent castles nearby including Alnwick Castle with it's beautiful Millennium Garden, along with other stately homes and gardens less than a half hours ride away.
