The spacious main bedroom has an outstanding view over the rear well matured garden to open countryside with en suite television, tea and coffee making facilities and are provided with quality towels.
Fortunately we have regular visiting birdlife including woodpeckers and often Red Kites can be seen soaring overhead or close by from the property.
The smaller front Double Bedroom can be changed to twin beds again has en-suite, television, tea and coffee making facilities with quality towels provided.
There are two very popular public houses in the village, very close, offering a warm welcome serving good quality food, however, there are an abundance of eating establishments within the area who provide excellent food we can always recommend.
Rutland being the smallest county in the country, is a beautiful area, offering a host of activities with the Nature Reserve and butterfly centre, walking, superb sailing facilities, ideal fishing, cycling, windsurfing, bird watching (Famous for the Ospreys and Bird Fair) and a number of good golf courses.
The area is steeped in history with the historic town of Stamford only 8 miles away, which is also home to Burghley House and the Estate and the famous Burghley Horse Trials.
Stamford and the surrounding area also have an abundance of antique centres for those interested in seeking that something special from bygone days.
Traditional market towns of Oakham (Oakham Castle) and Uppingham (famous for the School) are approximately 4 miles and 8 miles respectively.
We are situated close to Rockingham Castle and the Speedway Stadium and also Belvoir Castle and for the gardening lovers Geoff Hamilton's Barnsdale Gardens are only 15 minutes away.
So whether you are seeking a leisurely break, sightseeing or attending many of the sporting events, Rutland has everything to offer as a special unspoilt area in this forgotten county.
