Drakeley House is situated in a quiet rural location yet close to many towns and local attractions:
Shrewsbury, Market Drayton, Telford and The Ironbridge Gorge Museums as well as Hodnet Hall gardens, The Hawkstone Park Follies and Golf Club, plus RAF Cosford (which has a great museum) and The Wrekin - great for walking and amazing views at the top. Why not make a day of it and take a picnic!

All our comfortable rooms have flat screen TV, luxurious bathrobes, slippers, quality toiletries, hair dryer, well-stocked hospitality tray (usually with homemade biscuits) and plenty of white towels in the bathrooms. Your room will be serviced every day with fresh towels should you require them. We can offer ironing facilities and if you've forgotten anything, just ask - we can usually supply it.

We have ample car parking on site and a large garden for you to enjoy. You can sit under the flowering cherry tree on a beautiful garden bench, which Michael made. As well as keeping bees, he is also an accomplished carpenter! You might meet Hattie, our friendly little Border Terrier, pretending to chase rabbits (she's hopeless!).

You can enjoy your breakfast as late as 10am if you'd like a nice lie-in, except on day of departure. Your breakfast is included in the price of your room and offers plenty of choice: Fruit juices, cereals, homemade yoghurts, fruit, croissants/brioche rolls, homemade jams and marmalade together with honey from our own hives - and that's just to start! Your full English breakfast ingredients are purchased from the local farms.

For your evening meal, there are pubs and restaurants a short drive away.

We can offer our guests accommodation on the first floor of the house:
* One superking with ensuite (power shower over the bath) and a small sitting area (this can also convert to a twin if you prefer) - £75 per night including breakfast - (£70 per room for 2 nights or more)
* One king sized room with private bathroom and step in power shower - £70 per night including breakfast - (£65 per room for 2 nights or more)
* Plus a smaller twin room (no bathroom), which could double with either of the other rooms for a party of four - £55 per night including breakfast (only in conjunction with one of the other rooms) - (£45 per night for 2 nights or more)

Check in by arrangement - timings to suit you and your travel schedule and we can take payment by cash, cheque or debit/credit cards.
