The Place to Stay
The Place to Stay is currently in it's second year of operation and is already attracting visitors from far and wide. The rescue donkeys graze and wait for toast at the end of breakfast each morning.
Feast your eyes on the wonderful views from the breakfast conservatory, and satisfy your taste buds with organic sausage and bacon. Our award winning breakfast consists of as many locally sourced products as possible. Down to the preserves, being made by Frome Agricultural Show Champion Mrs Jean Lemon who lives in the village.
Walk off the pounds, across the fields, it's possible to call in at the local pub, for lunch or dinner and stroll back again, either by field or lane.
We are perfectly placed for visiting Bath, Wells, Salisbury and Glastonbury. Factory shopping is just half an hour away at Street, plus of course the Mulberry seconds shop is just 10 minutes drive away at Shepton Mallet. Longleat Safari Park is the regions biggest tourist attraction, but you should not miss Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole Caves.
National Trust properties are within easy striking distance, the closest one to us being the beautiful Stourhead Gardens. Nunney Castle is just close enough to walk to, and there you can visit the local hostelry for sustenance for the return walk.
Easily found we are located just off the A361 between the market towns of Frome and Shepton Mallet.
The ideal location for a weekend in the Somerset countryside away from it all, but not too far away!! Early booking is advised, as the five rooms fill really quickly. Please note that we are a totally non-smoking environment, we cannot accommodate children or pets. Truly a place for relaxation and tranquillity.
