Delightful 16th Century Coaching Inn
Originally a 15th Century coaching inn, Sandy and Rob have transformed this idyllic pub into West Somerset's most happening place. You can be sure of a friendly welcome and a great time whether you're in for a meal, prepared by our chef, or to sample our local real ales or if you're staying for a few days in one of our 8 en-suite rooms for Bed & Breakfast.
The restaurant at the Royal Huntsman is one of our best features. You will be amazed at the quality and value of our food. The seating area is cosy, but professional. Great for a business lunch or a romantic night by the fire. We have a carvery every Sunday lunchtime. This is very popular, so booking is advised. With your meal, you can enjoy a cask conditioned real ale or a few glasses of wine from our ample selection.
We also have frequent live music and parties at the weekends. Everyone is welcome.
For extremely good bed and breakfast, the Royal Huntsman has 8 fully-serviced, en-suite rooms with a separate side entrance for residents.
Every room benefits from:
Crisp, clean bedding
Freeview TV
Bathroom with the usual 'freebies'
Wardrobe
Alarm clock
Tea and coffee making facilities
and, of course, a full English Breakfast in the morning.
We pride ourselves on our accommodation and make great efforts to ensure that our guests have everything they need for their stay.
We are ideally situated on the A39 between the Quantocks, the Brendons and Exmoor National Park, so ideal for walkers. Also nearby are beaches at Minehead, Dunster, Blue Anchor and Watchet. In the village is Williton Rail Station, which is part of the historic West Somerset Railway, the UK's longest (23 miles) privately-run railway, home to several steam trains.
