You will find a delicious continental breakfast of cereal, juice, yoghurt, fruit, local ham cheese etc in the fridge to have at your own convenience.

Cockfield with its seven greens, post office and local pubs is just 4 miles from historic Lavenham where you will find a range of pubs, restaurants, tearooms, interesting shops as well as fine timber framed buildings including the Guildhall. Guided walks are available.

Bury St. Edmunds, a medieval market town. famous for the Abbey ruins and the wonderful Abbey Gardens,. Take in a show at the recently furbished 1819 Theatre Royal, or visit the Cathedral with its newly completed tower. Take a tour of the Greene King brewery. And have a drink in the smallest pub in the country.

Visit Kentwell Hall, Long Melford for a Tudor Day or one of the many outdoor concerts, shows and exhibitions staged in the beautiful grounds.

Newmarket famous for horse racing, enjoy a race day or take a picnic to the evening meeting and listen to the live band, which follows the fun.

Cambridge, take a tour of the universities including well known King's College or try punting on the Cam.

Market towns of Sudbury and Stowmarket are close by along with Ipswich, the east coast, Snape Maltings, Aldburgh, Southwold, Dunwich, Woodbridge, Constable country is well within easy reach. Plenty of good cycling and walking tracks within a 10 mile radius or further.
