Barcroft Bed & Breakfast
Barcroft is a modern house set in private grounds of 5 acres. It is surrounded by beautiful trees with views up to the Surrey Hills and access to wonderful walks and trails. It is perfect for business travellers, cyclists, walkers and riders.
Barcroft is a modern Scandinavian Bed and Breakfast run by Malene Sogaard. Malene originates from Denmark and came to England twenty years ago.
Barcroft reflects Malene’s love of Scandinavian design and home living and the beauty of the English countryside. She provides you with not just bed and breakfast but a stay that won’t be forgotten.

Situated on Barhatch Road, we are 100 yards from the newly £3m refurbished Cranleigh Golf and Country Club, with swimming, tennis, golf, gym studio, crèche, spa and bar/café/ restaurant facilities, you will never be lost for things to do. Day membership is available to our guests.
Schools
Barcroft is situated one mile from Cranleigh village, close to the schools of St Josephs, Cranleigh School, Cranleigh Preparatory School, Hurtwood, Duke of Kent, and a ten minute drive from St Catherine’s in Bramley and Rikkyo School in Rudgewick.
Airports, Roads and Rail
Gatwick airport lies to the east of Barcroft. It is 35 minutes cross country drive (through the villages of Ockley and Newdigate) from here.
Heathrow, is a similar distance, but as you need to go via the M25 , it generally takes longer, depending on the time of day you are travelling. You can get there in 45 minutes but we would always advise at least an hour. A local taxi service and secure car parking is available.
Barcroft sits just North of the A281, south of the A25 about 5 miles from the A3. Junction 9 and 10 of the M25 are the closest. Both are equidistance, at about half hour away.
The closest mainline stations are that of Guildford and Dorking, with fast services to London Waterloo or London Victoria (35mins). The smaller stations of Chilworth, Ockley and West Clandon are a 20min drive away.
Shopping, Local Villages and Entertainment
Cranleigh and the surrounding towns and villages provide excellent shops, pubs and restaurants for you to enjoy. Guildford’s shops are excellent, with all the big retailers there and late nights on Thursday evenings.
There are also many National Trust properties within a short drive Clandon Park, Hatchlands, Winkworth and Leith Hill Tower (the tallest point in Surrey).
The ancient village of Shere is just 3 miles away, a picture perfect English village. This has been used as the set for many films in the past and if you visit, you will understand why. With the charming River Tillingbourne running through it, an old forge, a beautiful traditional church and its quaint English Tea Shop and pubs, it’s the perfect place to start or finish a walk.
The Winkworth Arboreteum is a 20 min drive. In the autumn this displays the most vibrant of natural colour as the “garden” comes into it’s own.
