The Blue Boar Inn represents the best of an Old English Country Pub - where traditional values and atmosphere still survive. The oldest part of The Blue Boar dates from the early 1600's and records show that it has been an ale house since that time. If you visit our bar you can see the photos!

Restaurant:
The glass covered well in the restaurant bar is some 35 feet deep and its pure water has been used in the brewing process in the past. It's now the home of a family of koi carp.

We serve breakfast, lunch and evening meal! Our menu is all about proper pub food, although we do add in something a bit different to encourage new tastes and experiences.

We keep the traditional favourites on the menu - although chef is constantly trying to improve on their flavour and presentation. The variety comes from our specials, where we use local produce - game in particular - to best effect. Our customers complete comments cards so we can put popular dishes on the menu or update our specials for changing tastes.

Andy has brought back the old favourites board which changes daily and is influenced by the seasons.

Please do not fill yourself up on the mains - you have to try our homemade desserts. Julia has been with us for a long time and people come from all over the area for her Banana Crunch or Chocolate torte. They have to be seen and tasted to be believed. (not recommended for the waistline!!)

Accommodation:
We have just completed an extensive refurbishment of the whole site, bedrooms, kitchen, bar and restaurant and you will be pleased to know that all our rooms are newly refurbished and for your convenience televisions, hair dryers and refreshments facilities are provided in every room.

We can't think of an area of the Blue Boar that hasn't got a great reputation - food, accommodation and bar are always complimented by our customers. We have been really pleased with the positive feedback from our existing customers - all we have done is improve the pub further.

Recommendation is our biggest marketing tool - we are constantly taking calls from people who have been recommended to visit! You can't get better advertising than that.

Cooler Autumn days bring life to our four open fires in the bar and restaurant areas, whereas the sunshine of spring offers the opportunity to relax outside in our patio garden and enjoy the extensive views towards the Cotswold Hills.
