Forget-Me-Not House is situated in the village of Wollaston on the A458 to Bridgnorth, which is approximately 13 miles away.
All the village amenities are just a five minute walk away. These include several pubs - a couple of which serve lovely meals at a reasonable price, restaurants, take-aways, fish and chip shop, launderette, hair dressers, doctors, dentists, dry cleaners, several shops: including a shoe shop/craft shop, travel agents, bakery, Spar - open until 11.00 pm, Aldi - open until 8.00 pm, news agents, post office etc.
Wollaston is situated a fifteen minute walk away from the town of Stourbridge, which is famous for its glass industry and the Stourbridge Lion locomotive, the first to run commercially in the USA in 1829.
We are situated on the edge of beautiful countryside and also ideally situated for easy access to the many nearby towns, cities, M5 and M6 motorways. The Merry Hill shopping centre (supposed to be the largest indoor shopping centre in Europe) is a fifteen minute drive away. Birmingham International Airport, NEC and NIA are easily reached by car or train.
The Stourbridge canal is close by for cruising, walking and fishing. There are many other fishing venues nearby as well. Other places of interest include the Black Country Living Museum, Stourbridge Crystal Glass Centre, the Ruskin Glass Centre, Dudley Zoo and Castle, Kinver Edge, Clent Hills, Himley Hall and grounds. Many other scenic villages and towns within easy reach and these include Kinver, Clent, Belbroughton, Brierley Hill, Dudley, Kidderminster, Bridgnorth, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Bromsgrove and Worcester.
Bridgnorth is a lovely drive away and is an old market town with a high town where you can see lovely views of the surrounding area and a low town. You can also catch the Severn Valley Railway here. We are a short drive from Stourbridge Junction Train Station, which has a shuttle service to Stourbridge Town Station, which is by Stourbridge Bus Station.
