Originally an eighteenth-century hunting lodge, and then the family home of the author Reverend Tickner Edwardes, Burpham Country House offers a tranquil setting and luxury surroundings amidst the wide skies and rolling hills of the Sussex downlands.
Steve and Jackie Penticost now offer a perfect location to escape the stresses and strains of modern life. With ten en-suite bedrooms we offer you the perfect venue for at relaxing get away or the ideal place for that special occasion such as celebrating an anniversary, special occasion or simply the base for exploring the South Downs Way or attending national sporting events such as Glorious Goodwood, the Festival of Speed and Arundel Cricket week.
Whilst here relax in our lounge, enjoy a drink in our bar or simply nestle down with a good book in our English Country Garden. Dining is now available from Tuesday to Saturday for fine dining and for lunch from Tuesdays to Sunday. In the summer cream teas are also served.
The next day after a full English breakfast using local Sussex produce, you might stroll through Burpham to the River Arun, or walk along many of the marked footpaths in England's newest National Park. Then visit Arundel, only two miles away, for its vast array of antiques shops, beautiful Castle and Cathedral, as well as for its stunning surroundings.
