Hawthorns Bed & Breakfast
Wisborough Green is an exceptionally pretty village located on the A272 between Billingshurst and Petworth. The green is the centre of village activity. In the winter it is used for the local football teams to play their matches and in summer there is a variety of attractions from charity hot air balloon rides, stoolball matches, cricket and village fetes.
Hawthorns is located half a mile from the centre of the village down a quiet lane. It overlooks fields back and front, and has a separate garden for guests. There is also ample parking for several cars.
Since Hawthorns is a bungalow all the accommodation is on the ground floor which may help those guests who find it difficult to climb stairs. We have two bedrooms, both ensuite. The double room as a separate bath and shower and is equipped with all the usual amenities for guests. The twin room has a shower/bath. Either of the rooms can be booked as a single room.
There is also a sitting room for the sole use of guests, and it is possible to use the fridge and microwave in the dining room should they not wish to go out to eat. If they do, then there are two or three pubs within walking distance, which serve excellent food.
Hawthorns is ideally place to explore all the attractions in the area. There are various National Trust properties and gardens, including Petworth House and Nymans; Arundel, Chichester, Guildford and Goodwood - for both the horse racing and motor racing meetings - and there is easy access to Gatwick, the South Coast and London. We also have the award winning Fishers Farm Park only a couple of minutes walk - a great favourite with the children.
Breakfast is generally served at a time to suit your requirements. This can either be a full English breakfast or a lighter option of cereal, fruit, yoghurts, toast and croissants.
