Laneside Farm B & B
We do everything we can to make your stay at Laneside Farm as comfortable as possible. There is a guest sitting room with TV, DVD player, books, magazines, games and comfortable chairs which you are welcome to use whenever you wish.
Breakfast is always home-cooked with locally sourced ingredients. The eggs come from our own hens or ducks and all the meat is from local butchers. Everything else is cooked on the premises. The kitchen has been awarded the highest 5 star hygiene rating from Kirklees council.
We are a small farm with poultry and a herd of rare and beautiful White Park Cattle. These are the oldest breed in England and are placid creatures with large horns.
Being dog friendly, you might want to just step out for a walk, and there are many footpaths which can take you on a walk of any chosen length.
The outlook from Laneside Farm is onto open fields with lovely views of the hills around Meltham.
We are very close to a busstop which has a service from Huddersfield approx every 10 minutes. Huddersfield train station is on the main transpennine route with services to Manchester (including airport), Liverpool, Leeds, York, Scarborough, York, Newcastle and many other destinations.
We are situated in the Pennine hills and the pretty villages of Holmfirth, Marsden and Slaithwaite all offer the visitor a huge choice of attractions. These include lovely shops, markets, cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs, and of course, beautiful walks. Marsden Moor is a National Trust park, the Pennine Way is only a couple of miles away, and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal is a fascinating feature with the longest canal tunnel in England starting at Marsden.
