The Manor

The Manor is a beautiful grade II listed historic home close to the world heritage site of Stonehenge in Wiltshire. It has recently undergone extensive renovation in order to provide our guests with 21st comfort amongst its period features. All our bedrooms have their own individual style and en suite facilities and we endeavour to use as much local produce as possible in our kitchen to give you a complete Wiltshire Country House experience.

We have seven rooms, some Twin rooms and some Double rooms and one with a Four Poster Bed. Modern day comforts are available and all rooms benefit from multi channel TV, DVD player, Internet access and tea & coffee making facilities. Two of our larger rooms are suitable as family rooms for those with small children and for those with older children or in a party we can offer a combination of rooms to keep you all together.

The Manor is also an ideal location for a private party, celebration, other events and also as a wedding venue. Our aim is to be as flexible as possible to ensure that your Manor experience is a memorable one.

Less than 2 miles from Stonehenge we are the closest Bed and Breakfast or hotel for you to stay. Having been in the same hands for over seventy years the family have named the seven en suite bedrooms after some of the famous previous owners. There is for example

The Seymour Room (Jane Seymour as in wife of Henry V111th as opposed to Jane Seymour , Doctor Quinn Medicine Woman?!) who was baptised in the neighbouring chapel . There is The Cardigan Room with its centre mounted bath and four-poster bed styled in full regimental colours after the Earl's disastrous charge of the light brigade. Other rooms include the intriguing Lady Harriet, The Colonel, Sir Nathaniel and The Heathcoate room.

The restaurant serves traditional British food, sourced wherever possible locally, and is open every day for lunch and dinner….With everybody feeling the crunch at the moment, the prices are very reasonable. Lunch Menu prices start as little as £5.50 .Open for Christmas day with an impressive Christmas menu. The Living Room has an open fire with comfy sofas to sit and relax on afterwards - Ideal to hold your Christmas party here and stay the night too.
