Domaine de Conillieres B§B & Cottages
Domaine de Conillieres is a charming 18th century restored GuestHouse on a 250 acre family vineyard, near Aix en Provence, in the green heart of Var, in Provence. We offer self catering apartments in the OLd Bastide, or B§B in the former farm building. Large swimming pool and mountain bikes available.
The place is well known for its authenticity and its serenity. Lots of possibilities of short walks and long treks, as well as mountain bikes circuits. We are in a 30 mile radius of the coast and the Verdon area, and right in between Avignon and Nice, which may be reached in 1:20 minutes by car: An ideal central location.
Our family lives on the vineyard since 1843, and will be a excellent source of information on what to visit in the region.
Saint-Maximin la Sainte-Baume is situated in a wine growing region, surrounded on one side by La Sainte-Baume, and on the other by La Sainte-Victoire, which inspired so much Cezanne. The village occupy an important position in the history of Christianity: Its gigantic Basilica, shelters the relics of Saint Mary -Magdalene, who spent her last 30 years in the cave nestling in La Sainte-Baume mountain.
Loaded with mystery and a remarkable natural site, Saint-Maximin and its surrounding hills have become a famous place of pilgrimage.
The village is also reputed for its church organ, its royal monastery, its numerous concerts given in the cloister , its medieval quarter, and its large local markets…
There are several golf courses in a radius of 12 miles, one of which is the Open Golf Club de la Sainte-Baume, located at 7 miles.
You'll also find two tennis clubs around the village.
Châteauvert and le Vallon sourn, 10 miles away, is well known for rock climbing and canoeing.
