Les Tilleuls
Les Tilleuls is a typical Gascon Farmhouse, built in 1882, which over the years has been restored and maintained to a very comfortable standard, keeping many original features. Our house, in this very traditional part France offers a warm, comfortable relaxing place for our guests to stay, for touring France, or simply taking time out to relax.
The Comminges, one of the most venerable provinces of old Gascony, is a countryside rich in prehistoric, Roman and mediaeval sites, where the pace of life is gentle and unhurried, and the people hospitable and welcoming.
The small village of St Pé Delbosc is situated just 4.5 kilometres from the 13th century Bastide market town of Boulogne sur Gesse, which offers all day to day requirements - supermarkets, boulangeries, banks, friendly restaurants & bars, a cinema and a market every Wednesday. There is also a holiday village with animations in season, a lake with nautical centre, swimming pool with slide, tennis, basketball and volleyball court and mini-golf.
The surrounding countryside offers spectacular scenery, such as the Gorges de la Save where you can go rock climbing or take just a leisurely walk or cycle ride and a picnic. A fifteen minute drive will take you to the Lac de la Gimone with its sandy beach area for bathing, or for the more adventurous - sailing, windsurfing, and even microlighting.
Les Tilleuls is situated in a small peaceful hamlet, next to the village church and is surrounded by unspoilt countryside where the snow-capped mountains of the Pyrénées dominate the horizen. Private parking for several vehicles.
We have 3 bright comfortable double rooms, each with en-suite shower/washroom and tea/coffee making facilities.
The Pyrenees are just a 45 minute drive away, where the activities range from skiing in winter to walking in summer. We are 1 hour from the Spanish border, and 2 hours 30 mins from both the Mediterranean and Atlantic beaches.
