Cliff & Jan's Bed & Breakfast

The house which dates back to the 1880's, is set in a peaceful location. Parts of it have been refurbished to accommodate the bed and breakfast, with a personal area for relaxing and watching television, and a large rear garden complete with undercover barbeque area to which you have access.

The village itself offers a bar and a trout farm. The next village along the Canche, Boubers Sur Canche, offers a café bar, restaurant, post office, flower and gift shop and a wonderful natural garden centre. The nearby towns such as Frevent, Montreuil, Hesdin and Auxi-Le-Chateau (which also has a nightclub) offer restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets as well as the traditional French open-air markets.

There is parking for two large cars, and if you are staying as a guest with a trailer or caravan, these can be stored in a Secure area Free of Charge!!

You enter the house into the dining area and lounge. This is your personal lounge area, where you will find a TV (no channels at present), a DVD and video player that you can use to watch your own films etc that you are welcome to bring along with you.

The dining room seats four people.

There are two bedrooms, one a double room with a double bed, and the other is a twin room with two single beds.

There is a bathroom with an all over body power shower (no bath), a basin and a toilet.

The Garden

The garden is enclosed and has been landscaped to offer an open lawn area with enough space for family games. The beds are made up of flowering shrubs, roses, perennials and herbs. There is a selection of garden furniture available, including garden tables, picnic bench, and a barbeque. There is also storage space for bikes and scooters if required.

The house is located in a quiet working agricultural village. A five minute walk will take you into the village of Conchy-sur-Canche where you will find a small bar which will order baguettes and croissants for you. There is a trout farm opposite the bar; and here you can fish for your own trout from 37 separate lakes at the rear, from a small holding pond at the front of the farm, or if you want it quick and easy buy it from their shop along with other local delicacies.

This farm is set in lovely green countryside, and is great for just wandering through and watching the anglers catching their afternoon tea. There is a children's play area, a bar in the summer, toilets, and if you catch the fish at the lake, there are many barbeques around the site for you to cook your catch.

Prices vary on the sizes and quantity of fish, but are very reasonable.
