B & B Le Fief du Preneau

We are in the Poitou-Charentes region and more particularly in the Charente Maritime district. We invite you to visit our beautiful county in the South-West of France, near the Atlantic Ocean. We benefit from an oceanic climate: genial in the winter and not too hot in the summer. The amount of sun is the best of the Atlantic coast.

Our house is ideally located between La Rochelle (the third most visited town in France), Rochefort and the Marais Poitevin (Poitou marshes), not far from the Ré, Aix, Oléron and Fort Boyard islands. The relief being flat, bicycle rides and hiking are pleasant around our property. We are surrounded by vines and sunflowers, a typical French countryside.

We accommodate you all year round (except when exceptionally closed) in two guest rooms and a family suite (a total of 10 people). During the warm season, you can have access to our private swimming pool. We offer you the opportunity to taste traditional French meals prepared by your host Didier, graduated cook, at our 'table d'hôtes' after booking the day before. We can also advise you on local restaurants during your stay.

You can have access to our free car park and motor-bike garage. Our house is 'non smoking' and, because of the presence of our own animals (sheep, rabbits, quails, hens, ducks and a cat), dogs are not allowed here.

Price is for 2 people, breakfast included. All our rooms are on the 1st floor of a renovated farmhouse. Beds are 160 cm large. You have access to our private swimming pool. We lend bikes (2), books, games, magazines, tennis rackets (4), bowls. You can also play table tennis and billiards but there are so many places to visit around here (aquarium, museums, festivals, zoo, … ) and things to do (seaside, bird watch, …) that you will maybe not have time to do everything!
