Le Moulin De La Girardiere

Bressuire is situated in the north of the Deux-Sèvres at the heart of the Poitou region. It is fondly referred to as one of France’s best-kept secrets, this largely undiscovered region has a rich agricultural landscape of fertile fields, lakes and woods and its warm and friendly people make it an ideal place for a relaxing break.

We have three guest rooms all of which are ensuite.

Lavande is a double room with French doors to a small terrace, which has table and chairs where on a warm summers morning you can enjoy a quite breakfast.

Jasmin is a double room. This is also our family room and on request bunk beds and/or cot are available.

Vanille is a twin bedded room suitable for single occupancy or teenagers if you don't fancy sharing the family room!

All our rooms are centrally heated with heated towel rails in all the shower rooms and ceiling fans are fitted in the two double rooms to help keep you cool on those hot summer days.

All rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities.

Evening meals are available on request either at the time of booking or at breakfast that morning. They consist of a four course meal inclusive of aperitif; wine and coffee.

WIFI access now available.

For those with young children a highchair is available and there is play equipment in the garden in the form of swings and slide.

The surrounding area is teeming with things to do and see - full of beautiful towns and villages designated 'Cites d'Art' each with its own unique attraction and charm so whether you just want to meander through the beautiful countryside discovering these little treasures or want something a little more active - rambling/cycling/horse-riding/karting/canoeing etc.etc. There is something for everyone - oh! and for the fishermen amongst you there is the world renowned Pescalis.

So whether you’re planning a holiday away from it all, looking for a convenient base to explore this wonderful region, house-hunting or just stopping over on your way South or back to the ports you can rest assured you will receive a warm welcome from us.
