Le Patio, a beautiful 14th century townhouse in the medieval bastide town of Mirepoix offers you luxury chambres d'hotes/B & B. It is set in a unique position under the famous 'couverts' with views over the pretty market square, abbey & its garden. With its backdrop of the majestic snow-capped Pyrenées, covered walkways, pavement cafés, selection of excellent restaurants & bustling Monday market (said to be one of the best in France), Mirepoix makes an ideal base for exploring some of the most stunning & unspoilt regions of France.
Le Patio has 3 spacious en-suite bedrooms (one with a romantic four poster bed) and a large luxury suite with bathroom, sleeping up to four people, which is ideal for families or couples wanting something special. Each room is decorated in it's own individual & charming style. Tea/coffee making facilities & hairdryers in all rooms. Cot & high chair available. Fresh flowers/champagne can be provided for special occasions. Extra single bed if required.
The fairytale city of Carcassonne is a 'must see' and can be reached in 40 minutes. Cosmopolitan Toulouse with its shops, cafés, restaurants, theatres, museums & parks is a 50 minute drive. The nearest ski slope is at Mont d'Olmes, 30 minutes away whilst the beautiful beaches of the Med are just over an hours drive. The quaint Principality of Andorra, ideal for tax free shopping, can be reached within 2 hours. Barcelona can be reached in 3 hours.
Both Toulouse & Carcassonne have International airports. Pick up/drop off at Carcassonne airport can be arranged.
The nearest ferry port is at Saint Malo. This is a 9-hour drive but is very straightforward down the excellent autoroutes.
All prices include full continental breakfast, which can be served either in your room or in the dining area.
