La Vallee Bed & Breakfast
19th century fully restored stone millhouse with wooden beams and working fireplaces. Situated just 10kms from Fontenay le Comte in the South Vendee. We have 5 en suite bedrooms each with shower and toilet. 2 bedrooms inter-communicate making this the perfect rooms for families. Each room has a hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities. All rooms are on the first floor. The river L'Autize is just 25 metres from the house. We have a garden where you may sit and enjoy dinner or just a drink. Dinners served every night on request.
Bicycles may be hire at a small charge. For families our village boasts its own man made beach with lake and water slide and drinks and ice creams can be purchased on site. There is ample parking space. There is also an adventure playground at Mervent just 10 kms and for the children Parc Pierre Brune with slides, bouncy castles, trampolines etc. Just 3kms is the famous Abbey of Nieul sr L'Autize and just 10kms is Maillezais - Marais Poitevin - Mervent Forest .
The area has lots to see and do such as walking - pony trekking - paragliding - archery - go-karting - clay pigeon shooting - canoeing - kyaking etc. Our area is a micro climate so we benefit from many sunshine hours. Major beaches such as Sables d'Olonne and St. Jean de Monts are just 1 hour away by car, as is Futuroscope.
And why not visit the Puy du Fou by day or visit the weekend 'spectacle' which is breathtaking and not to be missed but book early - you won't be disappointed. Both Peter and myself are on hand to answer any questions you might have to help your holiday pass without a hitch.

Animals are accepted on request but during July and August some large breeds are not accepted for the comfort of our other guests.
