La Ramissal Bed & Breakfast

La Ramissal is situated in Grolejac halfway in between Sarlat and Gourdon in the beautiful sunny Dordogne. We offer Bed & Breakfast in a beautifully modernised traditional Perigordine house in a beautiful, private rural location.

The property is situated in picturesque surroundings and is ideally placed to explore the many surroundings areas that this region has to offer.

A warm welcome is guaranteed with a varied continental breakfast. Paula and Dave are English speaking with some French.

Open all year round, this is a wonderful location for a holiday, short break, as an overnight stop whilst en-route or a base for house hunters.

We offer 2 double bedrooms, each with ensuite facilities and both rooms open directly onto a patio over looking the garden each providing private entrances.

Room 1 - This offers a double bed with an ensuite bathroom with overhead shower.

Room 2 - This offers a double bed with a large ensuite shower room.

Both rooms offer tea and coffee making facilities.

Your continental breakfast usually comprises fresh bread, croissants and pastries from the local bakery served alongside a selection of jams as well as cereals, yoghurts, fruit juice and tea or coffee.

Breakfast is served between 8.00 and 9.30am.

Check-in is between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. Check-out is by 12 noon

From Sarlat follow the D704 South towards Gourdon. Grolejac is 11 kms. Along this road.; continue through Grolejac until you come to the Foyer Rural and the infants school - both on your left. Immediately after the school turn left up a lane, taking the first turn on the right and follow this road (800 metres) and you will come to La Ramissal on your right.

From Gourdon, follow the D704 North for 11 kms. On your right you will see the infants school. Turn right immediately before the school and follow the directions as above.

La Ramissal is surrounded with many excellent tourist attractions in the Dordogne region.

It is only 1 mile to Plan D'eau our beautiful local lake with lovely beach location. It has life guards on duty during the summer months for safe swimming.

There is canoeing on the Dordogne river, walking, cycling (there is a dedicated cycle path), horse riding and fishing.

There are many exciting and beautiful Castles (Chateaux). There are also the incredible caves of Lascaux, Proumeyssac, Les Eyzies and many more. All are easily reached by car from La Ramissal. On the way to Les Eyzies you will pass through the bustling and very attractive market town of Le Bugue.

We are conveniently located between the medieval town of Sarlat and Gourdon both with local weekly markets.
