Boutique style Chambre d'hotes 16th Century Gentlemans farmhouse
When designing our rooms we wanted to bring ‘boutique style’ to chambres d’hotes.
We believe a room should not just be somewhere you put your head down, you should be comfortable and relaxed in your surroundings; especially if on holiday or a short break.
There are 3 individual deluxe double rooms named after wonderful villages and a town in the area:
Beaulieu – Meaning ‘beautiful place’ nestled in a valley between forests – it truly is.
Flavigny – Bearing the name of the roman traveller who brought aniseed to France and more recently famed as the beautiful location of the film Chocolat.
Vezelay - A wandering hilltop town where once the pilgrims met at the Basilica en route to Spain.
The rooms are tastefully decorated in neutral tones and furnished with French flair, Renoir prints, while providing the modern day comforts. You will also find Provencal quilts, English linens, designer shower rooms with l’Occitane toiletries.
Breakfast is served on the ‘Terrace’ or in the ‘Salon’.
There is a wonderful choice of French pastries, seasonal fruits, yoghurts and fruit juices. French coffees and English teas are free flowing giving you that start to the day.
Living in France we enjoy the gastronomic fayre every day as will you, if you dine with us.
Seasonal menus with many home grown fruits and vegetables together with the regional fine wines and cremant make for a special lunch or dinner.
