Chalet Anchorage

During the summer months Chalet Anchorage is run as a Bed & breakfast, and also the Icona Cookery School. With the winter season offering our guests a fully catered luxury holiday break.

Chalet Anchorage is a beautiful traditional styled alpine chalet, with plenty of original features, and a huge wood fire.

Comfortably sleeping 8 with en suite facilities throughout, Chalet Anchorage is perfect for Family's & Friends, or Corporate groups, with the added option of accommodating groups of up to 10 by taking advantage of a double bed on the mezzanine/loft level

Our chalet also has a fabulous Jacuzzi hot tub, situated out on the large sun terrace, with loungers etc, where you can soak up the amazing view of Mont Blanc, and the Aiguille du Midi.

Our speciality is the food we offer our guests, and we pride ourselves in providing delicious cooked & continental breakfasts, and offer you the choice of an evening meal/bbq, using seasonal locally sourced produce. Alternatively you can always learn a few tips of the trade from Neil (professional chef) at the Icona Cookery school, with gastronomic trips to the nearby Fontina cheese producers and award winning Wine producers in the Italian Aosta valley.

Ideally situated in Les Houches in the Chamonix valley, Les Houches is the ideal family resort, with great snow, short queues, good nursery slopes. Chamonix town centre, Brevent & Flegere ski lifts are only a 5-10 minute drive from Chalet Anchorage, with the ski areas of Grand Montets, and Le Tour also being within easy reach.

Whether you want adrenaline packed skiing and mountain biking, or prefer to take a more relaxed pace, Chalet Anchorage is the perfect destination for a summer or winter break.

Backing onto a dense forest of fir trees and with stunning views of the Aiguille de Midi, and Mont Blanc, Chalet Anchorage really is a 'winter wonderland' and a 'summer paradise', with the deer wandering into the garden from the forest. It is perfect for one or two families or large group of friends, at any time of year. With lots of open plan, varied living areas and large bedrooms, with walk in wardrobes, and en suite bathrooms.

Chamonix lies in one of the most spectacular valleys of the French Alps. The chamonix valley is dominated by huge glaciers along with Mont Blanc, and the Aigiulle du midi, and is one of the top 10 Ski holiday destinations in the world, as well as being a great location for a summer alpine vacation, with plenty of activities to choose from: mountain biking, hiking, paragliding, climbing and many more.
