Moulin de la Civiere is a stunning ancient water-mill built in 1702,and extended in 1870.George and Linda Mcgill welcome visitors to their home of historic interest set in 20 acres of private forest with its river, waterfall, and peaceful tranquil setting.
Accommodation at the mill includes, our Pink room with its own private entrance, can sleep four people,(one double and two singles). Delightfully decorated with its brass beds and French decor. An en-suite provides an enclosed shower, washbasin, toilet and fresh towels. House coats, hairdryer ,ironing board all supplied as well as complimentary tea/coffee making facilities, and of course welcome drink.
Room 2, Blue room, with its gorgeous brass double bed and beautiful decor sleeps up to three people (1 double 1 single bed) complimentary tea/coffee making facilities, and shared bathroom with its French slipper bath, and toilet. Fresh towels supplied. Welcome drink on arrival.
we have third double with power shower and washbasin.
Breakfast at the Moulin is included in the price, which consists of petit de jeuner (coffee or tea croissants, conserve, fruit juice).
Lunch, evening meals and packed lunches can be offered on request at an additional cost.

The ancient town of Kergrist Moelou was once the hub of ancient Brittany, and boasts a wonderful church, and a little store for all your essentials. Surrounded by spectacular countryside with its stunning views and quiet country roads. Deer, buzzards , and all sorts of wildlife are to be found around.
The ancient Gorge du Corong, thought to have formed in the ice age, with its huge bolders, a Must for ramblers is a mere few minutes drive .The main town of Rostrenen (8mins drive) has its Tuesday French market, and interesting coffee bars patisseries, and gift shops, and yet, another magnificent church. 20 minutes away, the Bon Repos, an old abbey ruin, used for spectacular seasonal events (AUG), with its Sunday market, bistro and gift shop, beside the canal.
Cyclists, ramblers, fishermen, will find this a haven of delights. Lac Guerledan, with its vast stunning lake attracts the water sports enthusiasts, with its sailing canoeing, water skiing, short cruises, and of course swimming for the kids. With its man made beach, its a great day out!
Carhaix, another large town 20 mins from moulin, one a year hosts the largest rock festival in Europe during July. It also offers golf, children activities, including zip wire, bowling, swimming, and of course a Macdonalds! Alternatively, if its coastline you seek, Carantec, Binic, Plougastel, Crozon, Concarneau etc, are all approx 1 hour away. Airports Brest Dinard approx 1.15 mins, and Roscoff port 1 hour 15 min.
