Charming gite in the Auvergne

Gite La Jonchère is a holiday cottage in the gorgeous unspoilt Combrailles region of the Auvergne.

We are in a secluded and tranquil location surrounded by nature, with a lovely market town only 7km away.

As well as being the perfect place to relax and unwind, the area is ideal for outdoor activities including mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, birdwatching and fishing
The Gite is a barn conversion with an original oak frame. There is a comfortable double mezzanine bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, sunny dining area, front and back terraces and a generous lounge with a woodburner, film, book and dvd libraries.
Cotton bedlinen and towels are provided and we offer a free laundry service. Free Wi Fi is also available to our guests.

The Gite is attached to our house and is set in a large secluded garden, with a spacious lawn, deckchairs and a hammock.

The Gite is fully equipped for self catering. We also offer continental breakfasts with fresh croissants and bread from the local boulangerie, and delicious evening meals cooked by Tim, a chef with 17 years experience, using local and home grown produce.

The Gite has a bright, spacious living space with full height glazing to the dining area and two sunny terraces with tables and chairs.

The open plan kitchen is fully equipped for self catering and the cosy lounge has a woodburner. The kitchen and dining area is bright and spacious with full height glazing opening onto a terrace.

The Mezzanine Bedroom in the Gite is equipped with a double bed, wardrobe and drawers.

We provide our guests with cotton bedlinen, extra blankets, towels and a choice of feather or hollowfibre pillows
