B&B Le Pressoir
Le Pressoir is a nice cosy guesthouse in the heart of old village of Fontaine-les-Dijon, on the hill which was the birthplace of Saint Bernard. It is a calm green place only a few minutes from the centre of Dijon, the capital of the Dukes of Burgundy, and a few kilometres from the Burgundy Wine Road.
Built in 17 century in the traditional style, the house has two guestrooms each with private toilet and bathroom, tv-set and hair-dryer: room Georges for 1-2 persons, and room Edouard - a more spacious one, upstairs, with a mezzanine - for 2-3 persons. A common dining-room has a small kitchen-corner (cooker, coffee machine, toaster, microwave-oven), and it opens on a little sunny yard.
You can check in any time from 2 p.m. till 9 p.m. (it is better to call about 30 minutes before arriving) and you must check out before 11 a.m. French breakfast (coffee, tea, chocolate, bread, butter, marmalade, honey, yoghurts) is included in the price, and it is served in the common dining-room from 7-30 a.m. till 10-00 a.m.
Baby equipment may be provided if necessary. On the contrary pets are not allowed and smoking is not tolerated neither.
You can find a good restaurant only 50 meters from Le Pressoir, and it is open 5 days a week. There is also a small grocery down the street, a bakery and a butcher's.
In Burgundy there are many things to see: Dijon, Beaune and his wines, wineyards of Burgundy, a lot of castles, Fontenay abbey and Vezelay. There are a lot of good things to eat and drink too.
