Built in 1691 and lovingly restored, with exposed beams, ancient chestnut floors and exposed stonework, La Plesse and its verdant surroundings, are a haven of peace and tranquility.

The house is very well appointed and the rooms are comfortably furnished and we are open all year round. There are three tastefully decorated double bedrooms; one triple bed and two with double beds, all with wardrobes, bedside tables, chests of drawers, bedside lights, etc., etc. Guests have the use of a comfortable and spacious Lounge and meals are taken in a welcoming dining area.

In line with the peaceful atmosphere of La Plesse, breakfasts, etc., are leisurely and filling and served in a truly relaxing ambience!!

La Plesse is ideal for people who want a totally relaxing holiday, but with, perhaps, the facility of having all their familiar amenities close to hand. These include local cafés and boulangeries: boucheries, banks, post office, doctor, dentist, restaurants, a cinema, and a comprehensive shopping centre.

All popular sports are available within between 25 minutes and 2 hours distance from La Plesse. The more leisurely include, fishing, swimming, tennis, golf, walking, bicycle riding and horse riding as well as excellent Drawing and Painting lessons. Or you could enjoy a game of boules or palets in one of the local parks. For football lovers, we are just 35 mins. from the famous Stade Rennaise grounds.

Motor sports enthusiasts (cars, bikes and karting) are well catered for. These facilities include the famous motor-racing circuits of Loheac (25 mins) and Le Mans (2 hours) and Fay de Bretagne (l. hr. 20 mins.) with a popular moto-cross circuit locally. Flying clubs for light aircraft, gliders and Ultra Lights - are between 15 minutes and 35 minutes distance from the house. You might even consider treating yourself to an Advanced Driving Lesson - that will seriously improve your driving skills!

For children and teenagers, there are a host of zoos, aquariums, amusement and themed parks - between l5 minutes and approximately l hr. .20mins. from the house. There is also a superb, man-made swimming facility at nearby Brie - 20 mins., which is complete with large beach area.

This amenity has been voted as 'first class' by both parents and youngsters alike - and it is free!

There are several parks and lakes, with picnic facilities, in the vicinity too, plus woodland walks, well stocked with interesting wildlife.

As this is a rural area with irregular bus services, it is essential that guests come with their own mode of transport.

Some guests, though prefer to unwind with a book or two - we have lots of good books to read and enjoy at La Plesse!

We offer our guests the use of the pretty garden with its vine-laden furnished terrace and barbecue facilities. There is safe, private car parking/garaging for guests' cars and motorbikes.

If you prefer a winter break you will enjoy a well-heated house, complete with its wood-burning stove and traditional French fireplace. And remember to ask about our unique 'Champagne' week-end breaks.
