Tuscan Farmhouse near Lucca

Just above art city Lucca (18km), close to Pisa (40 km), Florence (80 km) and the beach (45 km) lies our lovely B&B Casa degli Angeli. The B&B is built in a rustic stone farmhouse and has many original details. All three guestrooms are tastefully decorated and have private sanitation. For all other needs there’s a well equipped kitchen, a BBQ and even a wood furnace for pizza.

Casa degli Angeli has a friendly and sociable atmosphere. Enjoy our delicious breakfast buffet, then relax in a hammock or on one of the terraces in the garden (with modest pool). There’s free Wi-fi in the rooms and parking close by.

Each room is decorated differently, the mixed antique and modern furniture blending in well with the original details of the old farmhouse. Characteristic details such as the double blinds, the tiles and the exposed beams in the ceilings give the house a romantic atmosphere. All bathrooms are equipped with a modern toilet and shower.
The bedrooms are situated on the first floor and overlook either the forest (directly behind the house), or the valley (directly in front of the house).

Breakfast is served all during the morning hours so guests can sleep late if they wish to. In the kitchen there's a dining table right beside the fireplace. It has a stove, dish washer, fridge, two ovens and a microwave for guest use. Coffee and tea making facilities are also in the kitchen, and can be used all day long for free.

The B&B is surrounded by a small private chapel and a garden on different levels. This provides for several private terraces as well as a dining table with seating for 10.
In the back garden, in the shade of the forest, is a hammock to relax in. In the front, beside the large terrace, is a garden with pool (3.5 m. x 3.5 m. x 0.90 m.), some fruit trees, a BBQ and a furnace for pizza.

This is the perfect place for those who seek to escape the heat in the valley below. Therefore you'll find mainly Italian families who live here during the summer, as well as some small farmers.
The village has a Medieval church, a bar and a small shop. For hikers there are several hiking trails leading straight from the village into the woods.
Close by, are picturesque little villages, surrounded by forests, wild flowers and olive grooves. Along the river Serchio (8km) are charming little beaches, as well as excellent restaurants, banks and a supermarket.

The coast can easily be reached by accessing the autostrada Lucca - Viareggio. The distance from Casa degli Angeli to beach town Viareggio is 45 km.
Viareggio is a lively town well known for its Carnival during springtime. Though it is also known for steep seating prices on the beach, there are some (free) public beaches as well.
