Casa Das Flores

Casa das Flores is a small family run B&B, set in the beautiful countryside, 10 minutes from the historical town of Tomar. With its castle and the river Nabao, this town is very pretty and unspoilt. Lots of traditional Festas, local wines and cheeses, olive picking in the autumn, there is something for everyone.

The Lake Zezere with swimming pools, and river beaches near by. Casa das Flores has 4 rooms for rent, all newly decorated, with new beds and furniture. Breakfast is included, bath robes, and towels. Evening meal can be arranged. We have a dip pool and BBQ house, also sunloungers for those lazy days.

We grow all our own vegetables, fruit and salad, and can offer vegetarian and vegan meals. In the winter we have a log fire and hot chocolate served nightly. Our B&B is only a 5 minute walk from the train station of Fungalvaz, with trains going daily to Lisbon and Porto.

The small village also has a shop, 3 cafes, and a traditional Portugese restaurant, which serves a 3 course lunch for 7 euros. The natural swimming pool of Agroal is only 15 minutes away, and the largest caves in Portugal only 25 mins, a great day out for all. The Friday market in Tomar is one of the best, lots of home grown veg, clothes and shoes, and meat and fish market.

The Convento de Cristo is set on top of the town, a very interesting place and well worth a visit. The outdoor swimming pools are popular, you can spend the day here for only 1.80 euros per person. What ever you are looking for I'm sure there is something to please everyone in Tomar
