In the surroundings of 'Borboleta no Monte' you'll find a lot of outdoor activities such as hiking, horse back riding, canoeing, mountain climbing and paragliding.
The historical cities Porto, Braga, Guimarães, Barcelos, Valenca do Minho, and Ponte de Lima are also nearby and are well worth visiting.

For a breathtaking hike you'll find the national park 'Parque Nacional da Peneda-Gerês' at short distance in which you can enjoy long undisturbed walkes. Also the beaches of the Costa Verde are within good range.

If you are interested of going ‘back in time’, visit the archaeological site ‘Citânia de Briteiros’. It is a magnificent pre-roman Celtic hill fort.

When looking for a pelgrim site, visit ‘Bom Jesus do Monte’ in Braga and join the pilgrims on the beautiful impressive stairway to the church.

Another thing which you shouldn’t miss is the spectacular weekly market ‘Feira de Barcelos’ which is one of Europe’s biggest weekly markets.

According to ‘The rough guide to Portugal’ one of the best views in the world is from ‘Monte de Santa Luzia’. This is located in the lovely Viana do Costelo. So don’t miss it.

Last but not least the famous port-wine. Don’t forget to visit the port-wine lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia to enjoy a tour and port-wine tasting!

Room 1: Room for 2 persons with private bathroom and TV.
Room 2: Room for 1 person with shared bathroom.
Room 3: Room for 2 persons with shared bathroom.
Bathrobe and towels are provided.
All guests may use the kitchen and the garden.

When weather allows, breakfast can be served outside.
