Accommodation
Casa Boa Vista (5 Guestrooms)
All rooms are large, modern, comfortable. Two rooms, a double and a twin are large enough to accommodate two extra beds in each, for family use.
All have either en-suite or private bathrooms.
With English hosts, the bed and breakfast offers large airy comfortable rooms, and substantial breakfasts. Packed lunches and evening meals can be provided on request.

Accessibility
Casa Boa Vista is on the side of a mountain and the property itself is terraced, we regret therefore that we do not have disabled facilities.

Outside
The grounds of 5000 square metres is terraced and guests are welcome to roam this area and to take advantage of our private 24'X12' swimming pool.

Coast/Beach
The beaches of the Costa Verde are clean, safe and relatively quiet and peaceful. The coast is approximately 40 minutes away by car.

Golf
Located over the skirts of Madalena hill, Ponte de Lima course is a typical mountain course, covering six kilometres adorned with luxurious vegetation and well restored, historical mansions.
Hole number 3 (par 5) at 622 metres is one of the longest in Europe, hole 8's tee (par 3) is situated higher, allowing one to attack the green directly below

Quinta da Deveza at Amarante, an 18 hole course of 5085 yds par 68.
Oporto Golf Club at Espinho. an 18 hole course of 5610 yds par 71.
Estela Golf Club at Povoa da Varzim, 18 holes, 6300 yards par 72.

Travel
Porto airport is about 50 minutes drive from Casa Boa Vista, most of which is motorway driving. The ferry port of Santander in Northern Spain is approximately 6 hours drive away. Car hire is recommended for your holiday in Northern Portugal.

Distances
Historical cities such as Braga and Oporto are about one hours drive away. Ponte da lima, possibly the oldest town in Portugal is about 10kms drive and has superb architecture and a wonderful Roman bridge. Ponte da Barca and Arcos de Valdevez are about 10 minutes drive away.

Sheila and Michael Lake have over thirty years experience in the hospitality trades and strive to make your holiday relaxing and enjoyable. We have lived in Portugal for almost twenty years and have travelled extensively throughout the country.

Why the owner chose a guest house in this location
We purchased the land here in 2000 but did not build until much later. Our current house was completed in 2008. We choose to live in this area after first of all living in Cental Portugal near Coimbra, Then in the Northern Alentejo near the medieval town of Marvao, but have found the Costa Verde by far the best region so far.
