Welcome to Casa Londrina Bed and Breakfast set in the hills and mountains of the stunning Serra da Lousã in Central Portugal.

If you are looking for a peaceful, tranquil break or holiday in the Real Portugal, then look no further.

We are Andy and Cheryl Smallwood and we have 2 double rooms and one twin room in our lovely, spacious villa.

We provide a continental breakfast with fresh bread, which is delivered daily before you awake. This can be enjoyed outside whilst taking in the views of the picturesque local hills.

Additionally you have the use of our large patio for lazing around on those days where you just want to relax, as well as the use of the barbecue if you prefer to cook for yourselves.

We also offer free Wi-fi.

You may hire bicycles for 5 Euros each per day and we have one men's and one ladies available.

If you like to use a gym, we have weight training facilities, a rowing machine and two exercise balls.

Prices - A double or twin room is 35 Euros per night per room.
The price for a sinlge person occupying a room is 20 Euros a night.

If you wish to stay for 7 nights or more we will reduce the price to 30 Euros a night for a twin or double room and 18 Euros a night for a single person.

We are just 4 kilometres from the quaint market towns of Lousã and Miranda do Corvo where you will find many restaurants, supermarkets, a cinema, post offices and other local shops.

The breathtaking city of Coimbra is just 25 kilometres away, and is a must see place to visit. Here you can enjoy an open top bus ride around this University City and a boat ride on the River Mondego where you will have the best view of one of Europe's most stunning cities.

There are many famous monasteries just a short drive away at stunning towns such as Tomar, Batalha, Alcobaça and Fatima. Or you may want to visit the Buçaco National Park and collect the famous spring water at Luso.

Enjoy canoeing, paragliding, horse riding, hill walking, cycling and many other outdoor activities that are provided in the area.

There are also ample river beaches nearby that are free to use, or you may prefer to drive just 45 minutes to the nearest beach at Figueira da Foz on the Silver Coast.

Within a half hour drive is the grand mountain range of the Serra da Estrela where skiing can be enjoyed in the winter months. However, visit in the summer and you will experience jaw-dropping scenery and panoramic views across to the Spanish border.

There is so much to see and do that the list is endless.

If eating out interests you, the local area will certainly not disappoint. The many, many restaurants provide local dishes as well as some more popular European meals at unbelievable prices. You will typically pay between 5 and 8 Euros per person for a 3 course meal that includes a half litre of wine (per person), a beer or a soft drink, plus a coffee.

Unknown to a lot of people, probably because there is none left to export, Portugal also makes some wonderful wines, again at very low prices. You may even be invited to try the neighbour's own.

We will provide you with all the local information you need from walking and cycling routes, to the best places to eat and the best places for sight seeing.

Reaching Casa Londrina is very straight forward. It is situated 1 hour 45 minutes from Porto Airport or 2 hours from Lisbon airport by car. All the usual hire car companies operate at the airports, or you may prefer to get the train to Coimbra and then a bus to Lousã or Miranda do Corvo where we can collect you. Both airports provide good rail links to the whole of Portugal.

Our aim is to make your stay in Portugal as comfortable as possible. We are extremely flexible and are on hand to help in any way we can. Children are more than welcome and we do have disabled access to the ground floor of the house where one double room is situated.

Of course we want you to come back and stay with us time after time and share with us the great way of life that attracted us to come here in the first place.
