Relax in the beautiful Algarvian Countryside, in one of the prettiest little villages on the Algarve. The surrounding countryside is conducive to hiking, walking, cycling and generally exploring followed by a dip in our granite swimming pool.

You will have use of a spacious bedroom with exclusive use of large bathroom including a rainforest shower, large corner bath and mood lighting. Free WiFi access and continental style breakfast. Tea and Coffee making facilites in room. The bedrooms lead to a large Sun terrace with scenic views over the surrounding countryside.

We are based in the hills above Alte, which is typical portuguese village, with its' whitewashed houses, cobbled streets, and village church at the centre. There are several areas to picnic or just walk along the riverbank and look at the springs and waterfall.

Santa Margarida is about 2 kilometres up from Alte and is a sleepy little village where time stands still and is very easy to find with good access. The local villages spend their days watching life go by at the Cafe Por Do Sol or the literal translation setting of the sun cafe.

We offer a continental breakfast which includes tea/coffee, fruitjuice, yoghurts, cheese, preserves, cereals and bread/rolls.

Prices: 65 euros per room (for two including breakfast and use of pool till 6 p.m.)

If you need to relax, watch the sunset and just generally chill out then is the place for you. Alternatively for those feeling more energetic there are plenty of places to explore in the surrounding countryside, with lots of small villages and access to the IC1 and A22. The Jeep Safari passes through Santa Margarida every day.

The beach is about 25 minutes away by car, as is Silves with its medieval Castle, which is a must see during the August Medieval Fayre held in the Castle and its' grounds each year.
