Na Planini

Nestled in the foothills of the Julian Alps, in the quaint village of Gore, (Gor-re) we are a family run business set in 2.2 hectares of picturesque countryside, close to the historic town of Idrjia. Free from the interruptions and general distractions of the the big city we feel that here at Na Planini we have it all.

The peace, the quiet, the space to relax and take it easy or if you are a writer, artist or photographer it's the perfect place for creativity and inspiration. For those of a more active nature there are a huge number of walks and hiking routes as well as climbing and white water rafting at the well known Soca Valley.

For those who would like to stay with us we offer three large comfortable double rooms, with bathrooms as well as a great breakfast to start the day. There is a lot to see and do in the region but for those who would prefer to be left alone our grounds or large terrace balcony offer breath-taking views and the perfect environment to enjoy the peace and quiet, a good book or a glass of wine.

Idrija offers a number of cafes and bars as well as its own castle but if you'd like to venture further afield then Lipica and the world famous lipicana horses are about twenty kilometres away as is the famous Lake Bled. Postojna Jama and Skosjanska jama off some of the most breathtaking caves you'll ever see and at certain times of the year there are concerts held inside the caves themselves.

Vipava also, one of Slovenia's wine regions, is only an hours drive away as is Ljubljana, Slovenia's capital, where you can embrace the culture, food and drink of this wonderful country.
