Los Arcos combines rustic charm with 21st century comfort ensuring guests enjoy peace and tranquillity in stunning surroundings. The atmosphere is always relaxed with that attention to detail that only personal service can provide. We offer bed and breakfast accommodation for the independent traveller, or all-inclusive walking holidays.
Los Arcos is a three-storey house situated in the centre of Válor on the Plaza de la Iglesia (Church Square) with five bedrooms, three doubles and two twins, all with en-suite bathrooms. Two of the rooms have private terraces and one is wheelchair friendly. To make your stay perfect Los Arcos has a dining room, sitting room, TV lounge and library available for guests use. We have Wi-Fi internet access throughout the house, which is available free to all our guests.
There is a roof terrace offering spectacular panoramic views of the Alpujarras. A complimentary mini bar is situated by the roof terrace so why not enjoy a cold beer, glass of wine or soft drink while watching the sun set or whenever the mood takes you.
The Alpujarras can be a fantastic place to visit in the winter months, snow capped mountains and sunny days are often the order of the day. Válor is 900 metres above sea level so it can get cold in the evenings but Los Arcos is centrally heated and also offers two log burning stoves for a cosy night in with a glass of something after a hot meal.
Jill and David have always been very keen long distance walkers. This interest has blossomed in the warmer climate in Spain. In addition to the normal bed and breakfast breaks, guests at Los Arcos are also offered all-inclusive walking holiday packages for small groups of between four and seven people.
The Alpujarras area of Andalucía in southern Spain is famed for its white, Moorish villages. One of Válor's claims to fame is that it is the birthplace of Aben Humeya, the notorious Morisco rebel (also known as Hernando de Córdoba y Válor), who led the 1568 revolt against the Christians.
